The maritime coast of the Alta Rocca area proposes nice walks too.

The Cavu River

Beggining: at the crossroads of Sainte Lucie de Porto Vecchio, take the direction of Taglio Rosso. Cross the village and take the forest path. At the centre of the village the beginning is signalised. Markers: orange. Difficulty: hiking path with any major difficulty. NB: In case of risk of fire, the forest fence at the beginning will be closed. Do not try to pass it if it is closed. Interest: discovering of the East part of the forest of Zonza. Panoramic point of view on the plain. Path full of scrub vegetation, plants and bushes.

Fautea tower and Lavu Santu Beach

Beginning: beach of Fautea. Difficulty: Easy. You have to park on the board of the road, pass the fence which conducts on the beahc and follow the outline path. After some minutes walking, the path divides in two. To go to the Genoese tower, take the left path. To go to the beach, keep going right. For the Lavu Santu beach, you have to go at the end of the Fautea beach (on the right) and follow the customs path during 30 minutes.
